We are absolutely honored to have the lovely Rebecca Minkoff as our July issue cover girl! The chic mom-to-be designs some of the most covetable clothing and accessories in the fashion world and her kindness, confidence, and wicked sense of humor won us over in seconds. i have loved all of the issues of matchbook…but this is my fav!!
i’m from alabama and LOVED seeing harper lee & zelda fitzgerald featured.
zelda & my greatgrandfather went to high school together & i actually remember some of the “grown ups” talking about her–very hush, hush cause she was considered quite scandalous in my provencial home town of montgomery.
their daughter, scottie & my grandmother were friendly–scottie was lovely, gracious, everything you would picture a “southern lady” as. i last saw her at a party at her home a few weeks before she passed away. she was probably in her 60′s at the time & still every bit a matchbook girl. you would have loved her.
and, finally, on this never ending comment….everyday musings is one of my very favorite blogs. so glad to see it featured in this month’s mag!!!
