Louis Vuitton Mini

We can’t help but love Louis Vuitton’s new MINI lookbook and video. Starring power bloggers Elin Kling, Hanneli Mustaparta, and Miroslava Duma the campaign features their classic Alma and Monceau bags in bold colors and a fun small scale. What we would give to be frolicking about Paris with one in hand!

Loeffler Randall Giveaway

Morning Matchbook girls! Today we’re thrilled to be hosting a Twitter giveaway with our friends at Loeffler Randall. The winner will receive a pair of Matilde boots ($695 retail value – we’re obsessed!) in a color of their choice!

To Enter: Simply follow @MatchbookMag and @LoefflerRandall on Twitter and tweet at us where you would wear your Matilde boots. For example, “@MatchbookMag @LoefflerRandall I’d wear my Matilde boots to…” A winner will be selected at random at noon EST on Friday, November 30th.

And now, Loeffler Randall’s lovely founder Jessie (remember her from our January issue?), answers our most pressing boot questions…

How many pairs of boots are in your personal closet?

I have too many pairs of boots to count these days. It’s kind of over the top. I usually have a rotation of 4 or 5 pairs boots and booties I am currently living in by my front door.

How do you keep them looking their best?

The best way is to make sure to take them to a skilled cobbler at the end of each winter to have heels repaired, lifts replaced, etc. Also it’s best to keep them in the pretty dust bags they come in (as opposed to in a pile by the front door)! [See more tips on the Loeffler Randall blog!]

What kinds of boots are essential for the Matchbook girl?

In my rotation, I like to have a tall shaft boot that can make me look pulled together even when I’m not. The Matilde is that kind of staple boot that is great on the weekends, but also good for going out. The tall shaft means it’s warm when it’s chilly outside. I am currently obsessed with my Felix booties – the most comfortable, most versatile shoe I have ever owned. I wear mine with skirts, dresses or jeans. For rainy days, I have my cheetah print LR rain booties. Love that they are slip on so I can quickly get them on and off.

Thank you, Jessie! Bonne chance, Matchbook Girls!

This past week we took a little field trip to Coach’s darling Bleeker Street location (their women’s boutique is the cutest!) and found ourselves hankering after the Haydee Loafer in a major way. We’re still debating which hue however — gold, carnelian, pewter? Which would you chose?
