The Newlywed Nest, Part 2
An up-close look at the bedroom in The Newlywed Nest from our March issue! Jane Lilly Warren used Sherwin Williams EasyChange removeable wallpaper throughout the apartment, which makes an especially big impact in a small space such as the closet. She also incorporated several flea market finds and mementos, such as polaroids from her honeymoon, around the dresser to personalize the space. But we really can’t get enough of those Leontine chartreuse monogram linens! We talked with Jane Scott Hodges, the mastermind behind Leontine Linens, to get the scoop on creating the perfect design for her clients…
What options are available to an individual or couple looking to add Leontine to their home?
The options are literally limitless, which is certainly overwhelming. That is why we are there to walk our clients through the design process to ensure we are creating a look that is truly their own. With a few simple snapshots of your room and the most important design elements you wish to highlight, just like Jane provided for her bedroom, we can very easily present to you what we think are the best options for you. I’m there to guide you to the perfect ensemble, every time!
The sky is the limit! Can you tell us a bit about the design process with a client… Where do you start?
The best place to start is with a simple conversation. I want to hear about your room, your favorite elements, and your goals for the bed itself. The more information the better – paint colors, wallpaper patterns, fabric cuttings, snapshots of the room. With those few seeds of information, I’m able to pull different fabrics and designs from our collections to create the a look all your own. For those clients who we cannot work with in person, we provide all the visual tools you need to feel as if you’ve just stepped foot in our gorgeous showroom. There is no better way to start or end your busy, chaotic day than in a luxurious bed that not only looks but feels amazing.

The Glass House
Visiting the iconic Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan was a dream come true for the Matchbook team. We loved learning about their new fresh flowers program which channels the modernist aesthetic of architect Philip Johnson and his partner David Whitney. If you’re looking for a fascinating respite from the city we highly recommend making a jaunt out to Connecticut to tour the historic property. Did we mention they’re going to start allowing weddings onsite? Chic! Read the full story in our November issue…
