How fantastic is artist Elizabeth Mayville’s “Top Knot” series? We love a messy bun and the striped shirts are the icing on the cake. Did we mention prints are only $20 and original paintings $150? Perfect for the Matchbook girl’s apartment! Shop Elizabeth’s work on Etsy…
This afternoon we’re making a statement in blush and black. Sometimes we prefer to let the details (needlepoint and snakeskin and polka dots, oh my!) do the talking…

This morning we can’t help but swoon over H&M’s new “Winter Pastels” collection. How fantastic is their bold mix of blush, mint, hunter green, and red? Not to mention cable-knit paired with sequins…yes, please!

This past week we took a little field trip to Coach’s darling Bleeker Street location (their women’s boutique is the cutest!) and found ourselves hankering after the Haydee Loafer in a major way. We’re still debating which hue however — gold, carnelian, pewter? Which would you chose?

Do you ever read Olivia Rae James’ beautiful blog? It’s one of our very favorites and lately, we’ve been eating up her “Charleston, I Love You” series. In it she spotlights interesting creatives in her beautiful town of Charleston, South Carolina. The photos are stunning and the interviews refreshingly insightful. Have you ever been to Charleston? What did you think?
P.S. This Matchbook story Olivia worked on for our July 2011 issue remains a favorite!
